Internet is running out of addresses ... very fast.

On Jan 23, 2010, The Hindu Newspaper published an update on Internet running out of addresses.

We are currently using IPv4 addresses and only less than 10 per cent of available IPv4 addresses remained unallocated and hence the urgent need to shift to a new addressing scheme IPv6.

Interestingly we did discuss this 'alert' in Strategic Boardroom (November 03, 2009) with Mr. Howard Charney on "The Future of IT", Bangalore and June 2011 was cited as the likely time-line for this saturation.
